Airline Cyber Attacks

Killnet, a pro-Russian hacking group, recently targeted the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) with a DDoS attack, disrupting its website operations. However, these attacks did not compromise the air traffic control agency's internal systems or the safety of air navigation. While approximately 2,000 employees were affected due to loss of access to communication tools, no commercial flight delays were reported. This hacktivist group, known for its persistent yet unsophisticated DDoS attacks, often targets entities supporting Ukraine or opposing Russia. Despite the disruption, their attacks typically focus on causing inconvenience rather than stealing sensitive information​
